Research Group

Our research group seeks new avenues for holistic understanding against infections and disease transmission at the meeting point of mathematics, machine learning, and infection biology. By integrating experimental data, modeling, and the power of computational simulations we aim to:

  • dissect host immune-regulatory mechanisms during acute and chronic infections, and their respective evolution in the host


  • develop computational algorithms and models for decision making to influence the use of vaccines and drugs


  • integrate within-host and between-host models for preparedness and control of infectious diseases and outbreaks
